Control Systems
|
|

|
|
|
|
When
designing a system, we work closely with you to ensure that the system we
design is the system you want. We
rely on field tested solutions, but at the same time are
continually integrating state-of-the-art and innovative new products and
ideas that enhance our control methods.
Many
of our systems utilize both PC and PLC based control, where the PC provides a
graphical user interface to the system, data acquisition and
interpretation capabilities, and reporting interfaces to remote or local
networks, and the PLC handles the critical machine control functions. All of our systems create an environment where PC and PLC
blend seamlessly to provide real-time access to system data and
reliably efficient machine control.
Wherever
possible, our industrial control systems utilize modularity to ensure
maximum flexibility, reliability, scalability, and upgradeability.
We integrate remote system access capability into our systems for fast
access to your system to minimize downtime, and after the job is
done we can provide full-service support for your system. Remember, at K. G. Moats and Sons your satisfaction is our
first priority.

Software
Overview
|
|

|
|
|
|
Our
engineers have experience with a variety of PLC systems, including Allen
Bradley PLC, SLC, and ControLogix; GE Fanuc; Modicon; and Omron, among
others. We design all of our
systems so that the programs can be easily expanded or upgraded in the future. We use PLCs
for machine level control to take advantage of the PLC's reliability,
stability, standard programming structure, and wide support base of knowledgeable
technicians.
PCs
are an integral part of our systems
where data monitoring, reporting, interfacing to warehouse data systems,
or user input and display are required, since these applications often
require high speed data manipulation capability.
We can design a software package to fit your needs from a simple graphical
user interface to a complex interactive system utilizing Visual C, C++,
Basic languages and socket streaming to allow real-time access and
analysis of your system. As with our PLC software programs, our
PC applications are designed for scalability,
flexibility, and upgradeability.
All
of our software is designed
in modules or "building blocks" that can be added to or removed from a
system quickly for maximum flexibility.
In
all of our systems, PC and PLC controls blend seamlessly to create a
efficient, reliable system that gets pertinent system information to the
right people at the right time.

Hardware
Overview
|
|

|
|
|
|
We
select hardware for a project based on a variety of factors, although customer preferences
are always the most important component of our hardware
selection strategy. In cases where there is no customer preference,
we build our designs around high quality, reliable, industrial strength
components from an array of top manufacturers like Allen Bradley, Square
D, GE, ABB, Omron, Cutler Hammer, Bussman, Hoffman, and many others.
For systems involving access control or
security systems we partner with Ocusafe,
LLC to provide you with the latest in security equipment. We are always working to
bring you the highest quality system for the best price possible.

Fabrication,
Installation, and Support
|
|

|
|
|
|
Our
commitment to your project does not stop with system design. We have
the capabilities to fabricate your system, install it using experienced
field technicians, troubleshoot your system and get it performing the way
you want it to, and provide on-going technical support.
We can provide full engineering startup support with members of
our engineering team onsite throughout the final implementation stages of
your project.
Our engineers remain on-site for a "run-in" period after
implementation to ensure correct system operation. After we have resolved any system bugs, we provide you with complete system controls information in
both electronic and hard-copy format.
If you have a problem in the future, we provide continuing support of your system
through telephone and online help using our remote dial in capabilities,
and on-site assistance should you need it.
